Pool & Outdoor Living Designers
Your backyard starts with the design.
Pools, hardscape, and outdoor living drawn as one plan — rendered in 3D before anything gets built.

Recent Designs
Designed here. Built here.
Three Middle Tennessee properties — each one drawn in full before anything was dug.

Sloped Lot, Level Living
A tiered patio, a fire-and-water feature wall, and a rectangular pool set into a sloping wooded lot.

The Whole Courtyard
Pool and spa, a sunken fire lounge, pool house, and outdoor shower laid out as one connected courtyard.

Clean Lines, Tight Lot
A linear pool and raised fire table drawn to sit square with a modern rear elevation.
The Most Expensive Mistake
The costly part isn't the design.
It's skipping it.
Most backyards get sold as a build, not a plan. Someone sketches a shape in the driveway, digs, and the rest of the property gets figured out later — usually by a different crew, usually after the budget is spent.
Built without a designer
- The pool lands where the machine fits — not where the sun, the grade, and the sightlines are
- Patio, kitchen, shade, and lighting get bid separately and never quite line up
- Materials get picked under pressure, mid-build, from whatever's in stock
- Change orders show up after the concrete does
- Phase two tears up phase one
- You find out what you actually wanted once it's already poured
Designed first, then built
- Layout is driven by grade, drainage, sun, and how you'll really use the space
- Every element is drawn as one property before anything gets priced
- Finishes are specified and seen in 3D before you commit a dollar
- Scope is fixed to a drawing, so the surprises get engineered out early
- Future phases are planned into the first dig — conduit, plumbing, grade
- You walk your backyard in 3D before anyone breaks ground
Design is the smallest line item in the project — and the one that controls every dollar after it.
The Denali Approach
We're designers first.
Denali exists because too many good properties get built in fragments. We plan the entire lot as one cohesive space — then build it ourselves, or hand your builder a set of drawings they can't misread.
Design First, Always
Nothing gets dug, priced, or ordered until the property is drawn. That isn't a step we sell — it's the whole point.
Complete Outdoor Living
Pool, decking, kitchen, fire, shade, and lighting drawn as one connected space — not six separate quotes.
Built Around You
How you actually use the yard sets the layout — not a template, and not whatever's easiest to install.
Tell us about your property
Four quick questions — about 60 seconds. Wherever your property is, we'll tell you straight how we can help.

Why Homeowners Choose Denali
“Will and his team showed up EVERYDAY, and were courteous throughout the entire project. They exceeded expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If you are looking to do an outdoor project and don't consider Denali, that's on YOU!”
“Will and his team did an amazing job with my project! They were professional, they showed up when they said they were going to and they got the job done quickly. I would definitely use them again!!!”
“Our backyard has been beautifully and skillfully transformed… Our yard is a showplace with two stone retaining walls, a beautiful extended patio, a gas firepit and more. The built in lighting in the walls is magical. :)”
The Design Package
The design is the product.
Not a sketch and a handshake. A set of documents complete enough that any competent builder — ours or yours — can put it in the ground exactly as drawn.
Site & Grade Analysis
We study the real lot — elevation, drainage, setbacks, utilities, and sun exposure. The plan gets built on facts, not assumptions.
3D Renderings
Walk your backyard before it exists. See scale, materials, water, and lighting from the angles you'll actually stand in.
Material & Finish Selections
Coping, decking, tile, stone, and fixtures specified down to the finish, so nothing gets decided under pressure mid-build.
Engineered Plans
Structural, equipment, and layout drawings your permit office and your build crew can both work from.
Phased Build Options
Pool now, outdoor kitchen later? The plan is drawn so phase two never has to tear up phase one.
A Buildable Scope
One drawing set anyone can bid against — so you're comparing identical scopes instead of guesses.
How We Work
Designed worldwide. Built in Middle Tennessee.
The design travels. The trucks don't. Either way you start in the same place — with a plan.
Design + Build
Greater Nashville and the surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.
- The team that drew it is the team that builds it
- No gap between the plan and the pour
- One point of accountability from concept to final walk
Design Only
Outside our build radius? We still design the property.
- Full 3D renderings, selections, and engineered plans
- A package your local builder can bid and build from
- Handled remotely with survey, photos, and video walkthroughs
How It Works
From first call to buildable plan.
A design process built to remove surprises — not add them.
Discovery Call
How you want to use the space, your must-haves, and a realistic investment range — before anyone drives out.
Site Study
We walk the property and take measurements. Out of area, we work from your survey, photos, and a video walkthrough.
3D Design & Revisions
Full renderings and material selections, revised until the plan matches what's in your head.
Build or Hand‑Off
In Middle Tennessee our crews build it. Anywhere else, your builder gets a set they can price and pour from.

Questions
Before you get started
Why hire a designer instead of just a pool builder?
A pool builder sells you a pool. A designer plans the property that pool has to live in — grade, drainage, sightlines, circulation, shade, lighting, and everything you'll want to add in five years. The pool is usually the easy part. Where it goes, and what surrounds it, is what you live with.
Can you design my property if I'm not in Tennessee?
Yes. Design is our core service and it isn't limited by geography — we work from your survey, site photos, and a video walkthrough, and deliver renderings and engineered plans your local builder can bid from. Construction is Middle Tennessee only.
Do I have to build with Denali?
No. The design package stands on its own and is drawn to be built by anyone. If you're in Middle Tennessee we'd love to build it, but that's a separate decision you make after you've seen the plan.
What do I actually receive?
3D renderings, dimensioned layouts, material and finish selections, and engineered plans — enough documentation to permit the project and get consistent bids against a single scope.
How long does the design phase take?
Most designs move from site study to first 3D concept in a couple of weeks, depending on the size of the property and how quickly selections come together. You'll get a specific timeline on the discovery call.
Can we build the project in phases?
Absolutely, and it's common. We draw the full vision up front, then sequence the build so later phases connect cleanly to what's already in the ground — conduit, plumbing, and grade all planned ahead.
Do I need to know exactly what I want first?
No. Most homeowners start with a rough idea and a saved folder of screenshots. Bringing us in early is almost always cheaper than redesigning around decisions that got locked in too soon.
Design it right the first time.
Tell us about your property and we'll show you what's actually possible on your lot — wherever it is.
